It's August already! Where has the summer gone? Through all of our trials this summer, it appears that everyone is still managing to have a good time in Captain' Cove. The pools have been busy, the events well attended, and Summerbration was more fun than ever, so much so that most people preferred the event more than years past.

Golf Report

Anglers Corner
With summer in full gear, so should be your fishing gear. This is a great time of year for the offshore fisherman. While the bay is still holding some nice keeper flounder the ratio is now about 1 out of 20 for a keeper which means getting dinners is a little harder to find, but there are some big fish feeding on the drops.

Arts and Crafts League
Looking for a creative outlet in August? The Arts & Crafts League has many ongoing activities. An intermediate to advanced group of watercolor artists meets on Thursday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to Noon. Note that this is not a class and everyone brings their own projects and supplies.
